This privacy policy applies to your use of Edumentor’s services, including our website (collectively referred to as the “Platform”). Please read Edumentor’s Privacy Policy for more information regarding the collection and use of your information. The Privacy Policy is wholly integrated into this Agreement as one in the same agreement.
Please be aware that our Platform and any content found within it are offered “as-is.” Edumentor does not endorse and may not verify any of its users or any User Content (as defined below) submitted by users found through the Edumentor Platform. You agree that any information may be inaccurate, unsubstantiated, or possibly even incorrect. You agree to release us from any liability that we may have to in relation to your use of our Platform. By using the Platform, you agree that any legal remedy or liability that you seek to obtain for actions or omissions of other users or other third parties will be limited to a claim against the particular users or other third parties who caused you harm and you agree not to attempt to impose liability on, or seek any legal remedy from Edumentor with respect to such actions or omissions, and you hereby waive the right to bring any such claim against Edumentor.
What Personal Data is collected?
If you decide to use or access our Platform, we may collect the following Personal Data from you: your name, username, phone number, physical address and/or email address, state and country of residence/nationality, age/date of birth, social media information, IP address, and employment information. As part of the functionality of the Platform, you may also choose to voluntarily provide photos, videos, and other content through the Platform. If you wish to purchase or book anything via the Platform we may collect your payment information via a third party payment processor which may include your credit card number and other payment details. We do not require you to submit any Personal Data to access the site, however, you may not be able to utilize certain features of the site that require registration or receive materials such as newsletters unless such information is provided. We may request additional information as part of scholarships and contests which help us verify eligibility. You may provide the foregoing Personal Data described in this paragraph directly on the Platform, or through a third party service.You may be able to access portions of our Platform without registering; however, some portions may not be accessible until you register. After properly registering for the Platform, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, fully revocable, non-assignable, non-transferable, limited right to use and access our Platform as permitted by us. As a user, you do not receive any ownership interest in the Platform; you merely receive the right to use and access the Platform as provided by us. All rights not explicitly granted are reserved for Edumentor. You agree to abide by the following restrictions listed below:You may not decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, modify, rent, sell, lease, loan, distribute, or create derivative works or improvements to the Platform or any portion of the Platform. You may not share your account with any other parties unless permitted by us in writing. You may not violate any laws, rules or procedures of the United States. You may not violate any of our additional policies.You may not use our Platform except through specific channels provided by us.You may not use the Platform on a computer that is used to operate nuclear facilities, life support, or other mission critical applications where life or property may be at stake. You may not sell, lease, loan, distribute, transfer, or sublicense the Platform unless provided by us. Please be aware that this is not an all-encompassing list of restrictions, if you breach any of these restrictions, in addition to any other remedies that may be available to us, we may revoke your license to use our Platform, at our discretion. Additionally, we may revoke or restrict your access to our Platform if we believe that your actions may harm or have harmed Edumentor.
What Non-Personal Data is collected?
In addition to the Personal Data collected, we may collect non-Personal Data. In order to create an account with Edumentor, you will be asked to submit a password and other non-personal information such as your gender, location and program preferences. In addition, your web browser or client software may transmit certain information about your computer and site usage, including but not limited to your zip code, gender, browsing history, search history, and registration history, interactions with the website, location, referring URL, browser, operating system, and Internet Service Provider.
Edumentor may use this information to generate statistics about our user community and provide such information to our advertisers. Go Overseas may also use this information for security, system integrity or enforcement purposes.
How do we use your personal information?
The Personal Data you provide Edumentor will allow us to fulfill your customer services and requests; alert you of new products or services, features, or enhancements; handle/route your customer service or technical support questions or issues; assist us in providing our services to you; to share with third parties that you have indicated an interest in; and/or notify you of contests, promotions, or special events and offers.
Edumentor may enhance or merge the Personal Data collected with data from third parties. We may use your personal information for internal/external marketing, profiling, or demographic purposes, so we can adapt our products and services to better suit your needs. We do this to better understand and serve the community.
Please be advised that Personal Data submitted by individuals acting solely in a business capacity (e.g., personal information contained in job applicant's resume) is not subject to the uses set forth above or to any other practices stated in this Privacy Policy.
What are the legal bases for your processing of my Personal Data?
The legal grounds for our processing, and our Partners’ processing, of your Personal Data for the purposes above are:
- first and foremost, you provided your consent by agreeing to this Policy, which you may withdraw at any time by emailing us at privacy@edumentor.pro;
- it is necessary for our contractual relationship;
- the processing is necessary for us to comply with our legal or regulatory obligations; and/or
- the processing is in our legitimate interest as a provider of the services described in this Policy and on the Platform (for example, to protect the security and integrity of our systems and to provide you with customer service and the core functionality of our services).
With whom may your personal information be shared?
Edumentor may disclose your Personal Data to third party vendors to fulfill product orders or prizes, to process mailings, or to process, analyze, and/or store data. Additionally, we may share your Personal Data with third parties that we believe that you might be interested in. It is, therefore, necessary that you grant the third parties we may use in the course of our business the same rights that you afford us under this Privacy Policy.
